Karl Haupt
Karl Haupt holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts, Cologne Academy of Fine Arts, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Social Psychology, University of Cologne.
He studied film at New York University, Tisch School of The Arts Graduate Film School and graduated with a Master's degree in film directing.
His artistic work includes extensive photo series and large scale pop art/new realist prints and collages.
Mainly he is known for his photo series documenting the World Trade Center disaster of 2001, with exhibitions at the Photo Elysee Lausanne and the German/American Institute Heidelberg, among other venues.
He has shown his art and photography in New York City, Boston, Paris and Cologne.
Presently, Karl Haupt is developing a photo series of large-scale portraits of Japanese women living in the Rhineland.
